Our mill beside the Loire, producing exclusively for industry
Moulin de La Varenne is Terrena Meunerie’s historical mill, which was developed over the years by the different generations of the Bretaud and Aubert families.
Originally dating from 1767, the mill was thoroughly refurbished and modernised following a fire in 1999. It will therefore be celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2020 and, in the same year, its one millionth ton of flour.
The mill has its own laboratory where the grains of wheat and flours are tested to ensure the strictest possible compliance with customer specifications.
The grain is ground in metal cylinders and the flour obtained is then delivered to some of the largest local food manufacturers, like Lu’Harmony.
